DISTANCE CAN PUT A DAMPER ON A LONG DISTANCE ROMANCE, BUT PETER FELL HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE - MY LADY LOVE - BY BRIDGITTE LESLEY

Travelling back and forth isn’t always easy. Distance plays a huge role when you fall head over heels in love.

Mrs Jeeves was the owner of an enterprising bed and breakfast which was always busy and fully booked.

Peter Remington lived a couple of hours away. Work was his life and he had neglected to visit his family for too long.

Following his first visit to the bed and breakfast Peter became friends with Mrs Jeeves. They grew closer as they communicated. He had fallen head over heels in love.

I am hooked on Lesley’s delicate writing style. There’s no need for gore and ribald descriptions for a true romance to work. This story is a gentle romance with building intrigue. I thought I knew where it was heading, but then I didn’t.
There was so much in the way the characters spoke and acted that reminded me of my younger life. Just like a real family. And the cameo shot of running a B&B in South Africa made me feel at home. The relationships between Alison, Peter, Claire and their family and friends read as genuine. So authenticity shines through the pages.
I thoroughly enjoyed this little book. Truly a love story, and a really cozy read as well.
